Marumofase High School Limpopo Reflection 1 – 28 – 15

Marumofase High School Limpopo Reflection 1 – 28 – 15
On Wednesday, January 28, 2015 the AISJ students held a meeting to finalize the editing dates for the Limpopo Born-Free short stories. Maya Campbell, the leader of this project, created a Google Drive containing all typed, but unedited versions of the Limpopo Born-Free Short stories. This made the distribution and editing process accessible to each member of the service project. Therefore, allowing efficient time management for each team member. There are two folders in the Google drive. One containing typed unedited versions, and the other containing final edited versions of the stories that are ready to be formatted for publishing. These formatted stories we be viewed and finalized by our AISJ English teachers – Ms. Murgues and Mr. Daignault. The deadline for all edited Limpopo stories is set for February 18, 2015; so, that we can move on with the publishing phase.

This is a project that needs to be closely worked as a team. Therefore, my collaborative skills have improved tremendously within and during this project. I fell the whole AISJ team and Limpopo students have grown as we are now reaching our final stage of publishing our ultimate goal – the book. I feel that this service project has provided the Limpopo students with skills that can enhance their daily lives and their futures. Being a team member of the Limpopo service project provides me with a great tool to present to my future college as an extracurricular interaction with communities. Each activity and experience that is put forth during each session reflects on the previous trip with Limpopo students. I feel our team works well together and every deadline runs smoothly.
